The company was founded in 1982 by Dr.-Ing.Wolfgang Winkelnkemper, former senior engineer at
the Ruhr-University Bochum.

Some of the many projects WMT successfully dealed with:

  • Design and fabrication of hybrid circuits for several scientific space experiments:

ULYSSES / EPAC instrument.
Max-Planck-Institut fuer Aeronomie, Lindau

ROSAT
Max-Planck-Institut fuer extraterrestrische Physik, Garching

GIOTTO / HMC camera
Max-Planck-Institut fuer Aeronomie, Lindau

ROSETTA / OSIRIS camera
Max-Planck-Institut fuer Aeronomie, Lindau

  • Design of the analog part of the instrument and fabrication of hybrid circuits for the EPHIN experiment of the SOHO space mission

Institut fuer Experimentelle und Angewandte Physik der Christian-Albrechts-Universitaet Kiel

  • Design and production of the high-speed multiplexing amplifier chain for the GALLEX neutrino experiment

    Max-Planck-Institut fuer Kernphysik, Heidelberg

  • Design and production of a series of A-to-D- and D-to-A-converters with sampling rates up to 640 MHz for radio wave propagation measurement systems. ( RUSK channel sounder ).

These channel sounders are a joint effort with MEDAV GmbH, Uttenreuth (project leader, www.medav.de), VAD GmbH, Dresden (RF components, www.vadgmbh.de), and others for software and antennas, see www.channelsounder.de .

  • Measurement systems for test and burn-in of Channel Electron Multipliers (CEMs) for Dr.Sjuts Optotechnik GmbH, Goettingen.
